After a failed atempt to breach the security of the national barista competitions, we headed further east to pick up some donair and hang out. All things were going well as I said goodbye to my "wifd" and saddled up "the scoot", except for the 60 freaking minutes that it took me to get across the Lion's Gate bridge!!! A simple task which isn't really as complicated as 2,000 zombified West-Vancouver suburbanites make it seem. And what was the cause of this horrendous traffic debaucle? Midway through the Stanley Park cuaseway, was a heavily congested space on Georgia street. As I peered through the herds of idling metal giants and the heavy exhuast fumes, I expect to see a three car pileup. But instead, to my surprise and puzzlingly-crippling rage, there is a 17 year old girl, dancing and gyrating on one of the pedestrian overpasses, and beyond, no traffic! I live in a nation of pervs!!!!!!! Seriously, what is the problem with people, gawking at some half-dressed wierdo preteen who obviously couldn't get a big enough audience down on Commercial Drive...

On a less pervy note, I am attempting to post some videos of myslef and my good friend Jeff Ojeda (check out his band at myspace.com/melodyunwinding) pouring some most excellent latte art. Since it is a miracle of God that I figured out how to post a picture last week, count yourselves lucky if this works.

-Peace be with you,
St. Bishop of Lonsdale

So, blogging hmmm? I suppose that we find this type of communication acceptable. After all, where else can the curious public find out about the elusive Ryan Bishop? Don't trust the news stand tabloids, they don't know jack. Or me for that matter. I'm not really sure why I broke down and created a blog (those who know me know that I am still vehemently, and possibly fundamentally opposed to blogs), but this I thought was a grand enough occasion...voilla, my new axe!!! I shall use it to fight off the evil forces of bad music and other such forms of jack-assery! (triumphantly pointing right index finger skyward). But she needs a proper name if my plans to fight the aforementioned crimes will ever come to fruition. I am accepting any and all suggestions, and there may be some free JJ Bean coffee in it for the winner...

Blessings,
Father Bishop.
